Nikolay Sarkisov

Co-founder

Co-founder and head of the American division of Blitz Films, Nikolay “Nick” Sarkisov had completed his studies to become a surgeon when he decided to change career paths and pursue his passion for entertainment.

Nick began working with an independent television producer, Evan Charnov (Chosen, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) to hone his knowledge.

Nick made his feature directorial debut on Krasny, which went on to receive numerous accolades. Building a solid reputation, Nick was contacted by the STS Channel in Russia to direct an episode of their TV series – The Moon. After just one episode, he was asked to direct the entire series. To date, 30 episodes have been ordered.

Working with Academy Award-winning talent throughout Europe, Nick is currently in post-production on his American directorial debut Embattled with a script written by critically acclaimed writer David McKenna (American History X, Blow, S.W.A.T).

 

Sergey Sarkisov

Co-founder

Co-founder and head of the Russian division of Blitz Films, Sergey is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and majority owner of the leading Russian insurance company – RESO, which he started in 1991 with Avtobank and Chupa-Chups.

After 24 years of leading RESO to continued success, in 2015 Sergey decided to follow in his son’s footsteps by pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. With this objective in mind, he returned to school to obtain a Masters degree in Scriptwriting and Directing from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. Sergey depicted this career change in his directorial debut short film, Who Am I?

The following year, Sergey’s short film Floating premiered at the Russian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival. Months later, he produced the feature film, Krasny, his son Nikolay’s directorial debut before going on to direct his first film To Paris. He is currently filming the miniseries Evil Touch in Armenia.

After acquiring the rights to The Fixies, an animated series that has over a billion views online and has aired on Russian televisions for over 10 years, they produced the animated feature which was the top-grossing animated feature at the box office during its run.

Using his keen business sense and knowledge of building a leading business from the ground up combined with his passion for entertainment and love for his family – Sergey created Blitz Films with his son Nikolay with the intent to bring story-driven scripts to life.

Sergey is currently developing films and TV series with Academy-Award winning writers, directors and actors including King Lear with Al Pacino.

 

Eryl Cochran

Head of Production and Development

Eryl Cochran is a Producer and the Head of Production & Development at Blitz Films focusing on hard hitting character-driven stories. 

Cochran’s produced credits at Blitz Films include the true one-take film Let's Scare Julie, directed by first time director, Jud Cremata and Embattled written by David McKenna (American History X), directed by Nikolay Sarkisov and starring Stephen Dorff, Darren Mann, Colin McKenna, Elisabeth Reaser, Donald Faison and Karreuche Tran.

She is currently developing for Blitz the television series “Sultana” with showrunners Don Handfield and Richard Rayner (the writers behind Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories, “The Rift”, and former showrunners of “Knightfall”).

Prior to joining Blitz, Cochran’s producing credits include Lionsgate films Slaughter, Seconds Apart and Legendary. Cochran also produced, wrote and directed the documentary “Totality: The American Eclipse,” which was among the most watched documentaries in 2017 on Amazon.

Cochran’s former development projects include: Daredevil starring Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Garner; Will Eisner’s The Spirit starring Samuel Jackson and Scarlett Johansson and From Prada to Nada starring Camilla Bell and Alexa Vega.

Cochran previously worked as Vice President of Development & Acquisitions at OddLot Entertainment (now Madison Wells) and Vice President of Production & Development at Aurora Productions
